Professor Tech's Intro to Awesome is an award-winning student and general public incursion program, offered at schools and at events such as World Science Festival & through the Office of the QLD Chief Scientist.

Head of the program is Professor Michael Cowling (currently Associate Professor of Information & Communications Technology at CQUniversity Australia), who along with the Create Lab Crew provides experiences in extended reality, robotics and other innovative technologies, seeking to put technology in its place and build balanced digital citizens.

The majority of Professor Tech’s outreach activities are FREE to participants due to the kind support of the industry as well as the state and federal governments. Contact us to see if you qualify for a free session.

If you’d like to chat to Professor Tech about organising a school or community incursion, please contact us via e-mail. We also offer a teacher professional development workshop series, Weaving Technology into the Fabric of the Classroom, which you can find out more about here.

Both the Professor Tech Intro to Awesome and the Weaving Technology into the Fabric of the Classroom programs are offered through The Create Lab by Professor Tech, which also conducts research and engagement into Educational Technology. Find out more about the lab here.
